Leftwing Idiot and I went out this afternoon to pick up a few last minute Christmas presents. When we went into a small bookshop I was ticcing a “Hu” noise, and the woman at the till tittered and said, ‘Tu,tu,tu’ back. Her friend at the desk laughed. Their smiles quickly faded when my tics carried on. I didn’t feel the need to do anything more to challenge their behaviour and carried on as normal.

Several times recently I’ve noticed people laughing at me because they assume I’m being silly. They then look mortified when they realise I can’t stop.
