I’ve got a new tic that’s crept in over the last few days. Some of the words change but the rhythm is consistent and based on an electronic game called Bop It which I last played about ten years ago. Why it’s suddenly emerged in tic-form is anyone’s guess.…

A few days ago I mentioned it was National Carers Week. While I’m writing this, Poppy’s in the other room cooking up a storm. She’s making dinner for tonight and also stuff to freeze which I can eat in the next few days.…

It’s been a year since my Christmas tics started, and they’re still coming.

The Real Royal Wedding started this morning with a cup of tea at Fat Sister’s flat. We had a few calm minutes together before my sister’s wedding day began in earnest.

As a doctor, Fat Sister is great at making quick decisions but if she’s given more time, she’s the most indecisive person I know.…

It’s my sister’s wedding tomorrow and I’m staying at her flat with Harry tonight. We’ve been having a laugh and excitedly getting everything ready. I made signs for the cake table using foam letters, but I kept sticking them on my head.…

This evening I went to Showtime, an amazing event put on by The Heatwave. It was brilliant, busy and loud. I was with a large group of mates so I had lots of people to help me.

The sound system was so loud that at one moment I found myself ticcing a whole verse of the Biscuit bear song.…

This tic made Leftwing Idiot laugh so much he wasn’t able to speak for several minutes. It’s clearly Tourettes celebrating the start of National Carers Week, which began yesterday.

I went on a massive shopping trip today. There was loads of stuff I needed for the wedding, for the lair, and more generally just for life. I’m finding it hard to move around by myself so I’d put off going for ages.…

This evening after another day of dismantling the Walter Segal building a group of us made a bonfire and sat and relaxed together. When some of the wood popped, and sparks crackled up into the air, I ticced “It’s fire sperm, don’t get pregnant!”…

I’ve just come across an article about disabled peoples’ experiences of using public transport. It quoted the results of a Scope survey, which revealed that nearly half of those asked faced discrimination or abuse on buses and trains.

The Equality and Human Rights Commission claims that public transport is one of the “hot spots for violence and harassment targeted at disabled people”.…
