My Internet isn’t working again. I called my service provider and was put through to a call centre in India. The conversation was a challenge, both for me and for the man I was talking to. I told him I’d got Tourettes and tried to explain what that meant but he didn’t seem to understand.

Towards the end, he began to give me a reference number. I asked him to slow down because I couldn’t control my arm enough to write. His response, in what sounded like an annoyed tone, was, “Well I’m sorry for you, but I’ve got a cold.”
