After two days back in London, my stay in Edinburgh already seems like a long time ago. Since getting home, a few significant moments at the Fringe have kept coming into my mind so I thought I’d share some with you.…

We got home from Edinburgh yesterday afternoon, and today I went straight back to work. It’s the final week of the Summer Playscheme and all the projects were busy with children enjoying their break from school.

As I wheeled past the huge queue of people waiting to come in this morning I felt very happy to be back.…

So the Edinburgh run of Backstage in Biscuit Land felt like a great success and got some fantastic reviews. If you wanted to see it but didn’t get the chance, this is a reminder that there are some upcoming London dates next month:

I’m on a train speeding through the countryside on a bright sunny day. In just a few hours I’ll be back in London and I’m looking forward to the familiarity and home comforts of the Castle.

This afternoon Chopin and I took to the stage in the Pleasance Above for our last show at the Fringe. It’d sold out so the venue was packed. It was an even more joyous show than usual and I could feel the energy and enthusiasm of the audience.…

A few days ago Chopin and I had a late-night rendezvous with two men, two puppets, and a camerawoman. We’d received a mysterious text from Henry, the puppeteer who created mini-Touretteshero who appears in Backstage In Biscuit Land.

Henry asked if we’d be up for being interviewed about our show by some puppets, in the back of a taxi.…

This morning I had an email to say we’d been nominated for a Total Theatre Award in the ‘emergent company’ category. This is really exciting, and just being nominated feels like a big achievement. I feel really proud of what we’ve achieved – putting the show together, with the help of lots of people, has been a great experience.…

One of the organisations that have played a key role in our journey to the Fringe is Mindroom, an Edinburgh-based charity who provide information and support to people with learning difficulties. When they heard about #BIBL they got right behind us, starting with a contribution to our Kickstarter campaign.…

This afternoon as we relaxed after today’s performance of BIBL, without any reason at all, my tics turned their attention to a place down south – Huntingdon to be exact. Here’s the strange song in all its glory:
