It’s Time for Another Adventure - Save the date!
For the last two years we’ve been bringing Backstage In Biscuit Land to theatres around the world. In that time we’ve welcomed a great many people into the surreal world that it creates. It’s been enjoyed by adults and children alike, including a whole under elevens dance troupe.
I’m excited to announce that next March you’ll have the chance to go further into Biscuit Land than ever before. We’re collaborating with Tate Galleries on Adventures in Biscuit Land, an amazing free, three-day inclusive event for children and young people aged 5-16 (adults will be welcome too!)
With your help, the fifth floor of the new Tate Modern building in London will become Biscuit Land for three days. There’ll be opportunities to work with artists and performers, to make, listen to, watch, talk about, perform, and explore.
All this will take place on:
Friday 24th March
Saturday 25th March
Sunday 26th March
The event’s part of Tate Exchange – it will be open to SEN schools on the Friday, and to families and groups on the weekend. We’ll announce the full schedule of activities nearer the time.
Biscuit Land will be open to all children, disabled and non-disabled, with a particular invitation to those with Tourettes Syndrome and associated conditions. If you’d like to come, all you need to do for now is save the dates in your diary.
We’re working with various organisations to provide transport to let children and families from outside London attend. If you’re a group coordinator interested in working with us to bring a group, get in touch and register your interest.
If you’d like to get a flavour of what the event might be like, check out the video below:
You can also read this blog post and have a look at these photos from We Forgot The Lot!, our last event with Tate.
If this will be your family’s first Touretteshero event and you’re a bit nervous, this blog post might be of interest.
In fifteen weeks’ time the doors to Biscuit Land will be opened, and I can’t wait to see you there.
