Today’s the first day of my Christmas break and I’ve been celebrating with some wheelchair customisation. For a long time I thought I was stuck with whatever colour spokes I’d chosen when I got the chair, but last year I discovered motocross spoke wraps. These are relatively easy to get on and off and come in loads of great colours. For the festive period I’ve gone with a palette of colours straight out of a sweet shop.

My spokes aren’t the only things to have a festive makeover though – I’ve also changed my front castors for flashing wheels. Wherever I wheel now it’s like a disco. I showed my niece yesterday and she seemed very impressed. With my festive chair I’m ready for the seasonal celebrations.
