This morning I had new locks fitted to the front door of the castle. This might not sound like a very exciting event but they’re no ordinary locks. There are two of them and both have the same smooth key. This means that if I tic and jab myself with it I won’t do myself any harm. It also means I can get in and out much more easily.

This expensive but simple solution to a longstanding problem was funded by a grant from Tourettes Action. Through their help I can now get in and out of my home independently and without risk of injuring myself.
