At lunchtime Leftwing Idiot asked me a question, and I answered with a blink. This would have been un-remarkable if I’d been having a ‘ticcing fit’ because if I lose my speech while I’m having one I blink once for ‘Yes’ and twice for ‘No’.

But I hadn’t lost my speech and wasn’t having a fit.

My blinking answer made us both laugh – I was a surprised and amused that I’d responded in this way without thinking. I’ll try and give proper spoken answers (whenever I can) in the future.
