I’m a Fire Alarm
On my way home from work we drove past a small fire on the edge of a park. I asked the cab driver to stop at the police station next door so I could tell them about it, but it was shut.
There was a phone outside. It put me through to an operator and I told her about the fire. She began to take my details. I should’ve said I had Tourettes right at the start but I was in a hurry because the driver was waiting, so I didn’t. This was a mistake because very soon I ticced “Shit”, quickly followed by my silly-voice, “Bye, bye”. I tried to explain but it was too late. She’d already hung up.
As I went back to the cab, I saw the fire brigade arriving, so I left it to the experts.
