I’ve mentioned in a previous post that as a child I had a biting tic. I mainly bit myself but sometimes other people. A few years ago it resurfaced briefly with a slight twist – I’d bite the skin on the back of my hand and tug on it. This tic has left me alone for a long time, coming back only occasionally, but during the last few days it’s started again.

I don’t want to give the impression that I’m sinking my teeth in all over the place and it’s still a minor feature of my Tourettes, but I did bite Leftwing Idiot’s sleeve while watching TV last night and I’ve bitten my arm and hand a few times today. It happens suddenly, and leaves me feeling embarrassed afterwards.

Surprisingly that’s something I don’t feel often, despite the best efforts of my tics.
