I injured my hand at some point while I was away and I was having it checked out earlier by a doctor I’d not met before. Fat Sister came with me. The doctor was very friendly and unfazed by Tourettes. He took my medical history and asked me some questions and then he said: “I assume you don’t work.”…

I suddenly realised this afternoon that I needed to go to the bank but, although it’s only five minutes away, the prospect of walking there filled me with dread. It’s not a day when I have support at work so I had to go by myself and  inevitably I kept dropping to the ground.…

During Easter playscheme a child I work with pinched one of my gloves and took it home. He’s been promising to return it ever since. Today, at last he did, freshly laundered by his mum.

We had a group of volunteers at work this morning. They’d left their office to come and do some physical outdoor work.

Earlier I read about some comments made by Conservative MP Philip Davies that were so ridiculous that to start with I didn’t believe they were real. I was wrong. He was being accurately quoted:
