This evening along with Fran, Claire and Poppy I went to watch my friend Ruth perform. She’s a singer and along with five other people with Tourettes she showcased her talent at tonight’s event – Tourettes Live in London.

Yesterday I talked about my epic cry. This evening I laughed as I ticced about yesterday’s troubles, not mine though. Leftwing Idiot and Poppy were having a dance in the kitchen and I spontaneously accompanied them with a Tourettes version of a well-known song:

Yesterday evening I had an unusual conversation with Karl James. In 2001, Karl started the Dialogue Project and since then he’s had lots of interesting conversations with a wide variety of people on all sorts of subjects.

Talking to Karl was very different from the other interviews I’ve done recently because we had time to talk, and listen, to each other.…

Yesterday I described how excited I got walking in the wind. Today my tics decided that the work phone ringing was particularly thrilling.

Every time it rang I shouted, “Help!” and put my hands over my ears. Fortunately Fran, my support worker today, stayed calm and answered it for me when necessary.…
